Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy Return to Host 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve'
Ciara will return to the program as well, this time as the host of the Hollywood Party.
Ryan Seacrest is returning as host of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, set to air live on Dec. 31 on ABC from New York's Times Square, in a role he has held for the past 12 years.
As in previous years, Seacrest will lead the traditional countdown to 2018. Also returning is Jenny McCarthy, who will reprise her role as an on-site reporter providing commentary from the crowd throughout the night.
Ciara will be joining the duo on the program as the host for the West Coast broadcast of the Hollywood Party. The singer previously performed her hit singles “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” on the holiday celebration special in 2005, and shared her excitement on her new gig: "It’s a really great feeling to say I’ve had the opportunity to host and perform on the show, and I can’t wait to ring in the new year with the world.”
It's the 46th anniversary for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, America’s largest celebration of the year. The show, airing on ABC on New Year’s Eve starting at 8 p.m. ET, will include five-and-a-half hours of performances and reports on New Year’s celebrations from coast to coast and around the world.
