Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Trump said he would stand by Moore, in part, because, “We don't want to have a liberal Democrat in Alabama, believe me. We want strong borders. We want stopping crime.”

Moore has repeatedly denied all allegations against him.

But that didn’t stop Stephen Colbert, host of “The Late Show,” from slamming Trump over his endorsement.

"Yes, we want stopping crime. We just not want stopping sexual assault," Colbert said, while giving his best Trump impersonation.

He went on to play a video clip of Moore’s spokesperson, Janet Porter, defending him on CNN, saying, “We need to make it clear that there's a group of non-accusers that have not accused the judge of any sexual misconduct or anything illegal.”

“Yes, let's be fair. Let's be fair. It's just nine women. What about all the women who haven't accused him of sexual assault,” Colbert said. “Everyone was so quick to call Jeffrey Dahmer a serial killer and cannibal, but we forget about all the people he didn't eat. Come on!”

Over on “The Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon introduced a mock character of Moore who pretended to reject Trump’s endorsement.

“I'm shocked. These are some serious and disturbing allegations against Donald Trump and frankly, I do not want to be associated with this fella at all,” the Moore character said.

“That's why I'm rejecting his endorsement. I think that he is immature, he's annoying, he's gossipy, he's like a teenage girl, but in a bad way,” the character, played by comedian Patton Oswalt, said.
