TV Ratings: Fox Holds on to Wednesday With '911'
'The Goldbergs' emerges as the night's No. 1 program.
Fox squeaked out a victory on Wednesday, even as 911 saw a slight linear dip and fell below ABC's The Goldbergs as the night's No. 2 program.
The network, which saw The X-Files earn a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 at 8 o'clock, followed up with a mostly steady 911. It took a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49, slipping two-tenths of a point, even as the audience inched up ever so slightly to 6.4 million viewers.
The Goldbergs was the top show of the night. A previously unaired spinoff pilot earned an even 1.7 rating among adults 18-49, lifting up a lineup slightly fatigued by the lack of an original Modern Family. The rest of the night was filled with American Housewife episodes, which earned a 1.4 and 1.1 rating among adults 18-49, and a new Match Game (0.7 adults).
CBS put out back-to-back episodes of The Amazing Race, each off from last week with respective scores of 1.3 and 1.1 in the key demo. Criminal Minds (0.9 adults) was steady.
NBC aired repeats, while The CW put out even episodes of Riverdale (0.5 adults) and Dynasty (0.2 adults).
