The ABC host has bragging rights among adults 18-49, while a live Colbert pulls the most eyes and Fallon finishes third.

Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert shared ratings victories Tuesday night.

After the State of the Union address, Kimmel perked up to the No. 1 spot among adults 18-49 in late night thanks to an interview with alleged presidential mistress Stormy Daniels. His ABC show climbed to a 0.7 rating in the key demo, per Local People Meters, besting time slot rivals Colbert and Jimmy Fallon by 40 percent.

The particularly competitive night saw only Colbert go live among the broadcast hosts — and, no surprise, he'll lead in viewers again after his strong victory in overnight households ratings. The show, which devoted the hour to Donald Trump's House speech, earned a 2.9 rating among households.

All of the political activity left Fallon out in the cold. The Tonight host place third among households, trailing even Kimmel by 25 percent, with an average 1.8 rating. (He and Colbert shared a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49.)

Season-to-date, last year's rankings still stand. Colbert has a significant lead among total viewers, topping Fallon by more than 1 million, and Fallon continues to have an edge among adults 18-49. But that lead continues to shrink.
