Jimmy Fallon Encourages "Anyone Who Wants Change" to Attend "March for Our Lives"

Jimmy Fallon is reminding viewers to mark Saturday, March 24th on their calendars.
On The Tonight Show on Tuesday night, the NBC late-night host reiterated that he and his family would be attending the "March for Our Lives" this Saturday to protest gun violence and advocate for the safety of American schoolchildren.
At the top of Fallon's show, he told the audience, "I just want to remind everybody that this Saturday, March 24th, students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have organized a march in Washington. It’s called the March For Our Lives, and it’s to tell the government, loud and clear, that we demand change on the issue of gun control."
"I’ll be there, with my family, to support the students," Fallon added. "And I encourage all of you — families, students, teachers, anyone who wants change — head to Washington this Saturday, or find a local march happening in your city, and show your support for these kids as they make their voices heard. Our future is speaking, and we should listen."
Fallon first announced that he was planning to attend on Feb. 27, less than two weeks after a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. left 17 dead. He won't be the only late-night host who's covering the event: On Thursday night Comedy Central's The Opposition With Jordan Klepper will be filming from a student activist's home in Rockville, Md. and hosting U.S. Senator Cory Booker for a March-themed episode. On Tuesday, March 27, Comedy Central's The Jim Jefferies Show will debut its second season with an episode dedicated to in-the-field coverage of the March for Our Lives rally in San Diego.
The main march on Saturday will be held in Washington, D.C. at 10 a.m. EST. That event will be joined by sister events in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami and other cities worldwide — according to the March for Our Lives website, 824 marches are being planned in total.
The March for Our Lives organizers have found plenty of support in Hollywood since they announced the event in February: Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg and George and Amal Clooney have all donated $500,000 each to the cause. Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Amy Schumer and Julianne Moore are among those who have posted in support of the event on social media.
