The duo joins a cast that also includes Jenna Dewan Tatum and Raul Castillo.

Fox's romantic musical drama Mixtape is rounding out its cast.

Campbell Scott (Royal Pains, House of Cards) and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Blindspot) have boarded the pilot from Josh Safran (Quantico, Smash).

The romantic musical drama looks at a disparate group of interconnected people in contemporary Los Angeles through the lens of the music that defines who they are. Mixtape captures the different stages of love, exploring if time can heal a broken heart and if love can withstand life's tragedies.

Scott will play Hugh, the father to Callie Hernandez's Natalie. The character is described as rakishly handsome, warm and gentle but with some self-control issues. Jean-Baptiste is set as Annette, Sam's (Raul Castillo) aunt, who is described as warm, pragmatic and a fighter. Also joining the show is Evan Whitten as Barry, Sam's son. They join a cast that also includes Jenna Dewan Tatum and Madeleine Stowe.

Safran penned the script and executive produces the 20th Century Fox Television project alongside Annapurna's Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle. Jesse Peretz directs with Ali Krug set as a co-exec producer.

Scott (Damages, Six Degrees) is repped by Paradigm. Jean-Baptiste (Training Day, Broadchurch, Without a Trace) is with APA and Untitled. Whitten is with Eris Talent and Kathleen Deters.
