'Once Upon a Time': All the Stars — Including Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin — Returning for the Series Finale
Original stars Josh Dallas, Jared Gilmore and severeal other fan favorites will be back as ABC closes the book on its fairy tale drama.
As ABC prepares to close the book on Once Upon a Time, a number of familiar faces — big and small— are making their way back to the fairy tale drama for its final episodes.
As previously announced, the fairy tale drama will end with its current seventh season. The series finale — fittingly called "Leaving Storybrooke" — will air May 18 on ABC. And the drama from showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis will feature a number of familiar faces returning for the final two episodes.
"Seven years after we set off on this magical journey, we prepare to say goodbye to the cast, crew and writers that made the ‘happily ever after’ that is Once Upon a Time possible. We couldn’t think of a more fitting way to say farewell than by reuniting so many of the characters that our fiercely loyal fans spent years with on their adventures. We hope everyone joins our Once family, old and new, for what we hope will be the sendoff of a lifetime befitting this stellar cast and its incomparable fans," Kitsis and Horowitz said in a joint statement Wednesday.
Here's the complete list of those returning for the series finale:
Ginnifer Goodwin will reprise her role as Snow White in the series finale. The actress recently signed on to star in ABC's comedy pilot Steps, helping to cement her future with the network and studio behind Once after leaving the fairy tale world last season.
Josh Dallas, who was among the original stars to exit ahead of season seven, is coming back one final time as Prince Charming. Dallas next stars in NBC drama pilot Manifest.
Jennifer Morrison, who exited her role as Emma Swan, will be back for the show's final story after exiting last season.
Emilie de Ravin is returning as Belle. The actress originally guest starred in season one and was promoted to regular in the show's sophomore season. She, too, exited last season.
Jared Gilmore was previously confirmed to reprise his role as Henry for the series finale. "He's in a lot of ways the heart and soul of the show," co-creator Horowitz said. "He grew up literally on the show and it's really wonderful to see him back. I hope the audience enjoys. We feel like we have a fun adventure."
Rebecca Mader will continue to reprise her role as the Wicked Witch of the West/Zelena. After playing the role since season three, she was upped to regular in season five before announcing her departure last season. She returned to reprise the role earlier this season and will be among the familiar faces in the series finale.
