German train collision injures dozens, police say
Up to 50 people have been injured in a train crash near Düsseldorf, German police say.
A passenger train collided with a freight train in the town of Meerbusch, according to reports.
In a tweet, the Meerbusch fire department said rescuing people from the train was the main priority.
It estimated there were 150 people on board at the time of the crash. Meerbusch is in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany's most populous state.
The fire department shared an image of the scene with an update on the situation.
