'Law & Order: SVU' Harvey Weinstein Episode Adds 'Weeds,' 'Quantico' Alums (Exclusive)

The upcoming installment will take on rape culture in the workplace, but is set in the airline industry rather than Hollywood.

Law & Order: SVU will be tackling the Harvey Weinstein scandal in an upcoming episode, and the NBC procedural has tapped two TV veterans for the outing.

Martin Donovan (Homeland, Weeds) will guest star as a commercial airline pilot, and Quantico vet Yasmine Al Massri will play his co-pilot, who accuses him of sexual assault. The episode, which is titled "Flight Risk," is set to air in January.

Writers for the Dick Wolf series were already working on an episode about rape culture in the workplace when the Weinstein scandal broke, and although it's set in the airline industry rather than the entertainment business, the installment will tap into Hollywood's ongoing conversation about sexual harassment.

"Here we have a closed industry, and we see how everybody has been protecting the guy for years — but we also offer a solution to the whole problem…a really clever legal solution," showrunner Michael Chernuchin told The Hollywood Reporter.

Donovan appears in HBO's upcoming Fahrenheit 451 adaptation, and recently guested on Fox's Lethal Weapon remake as well as an arc on The CW's Legends of Tomorrow. Al Massri starred as twins Nimah and Raina Amin on ABC's FBI drama Quantico for two seasons before leaving the series earlier this year.

Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
