In part one of the season finale, artists sang a cover, an original single and a duet with their celebrity coaches.

Season 13’s four finalists sang three songs each in part one of The Voice’s live finale Monday night on NBC. In addition to a new cover, the artists each debuted original singles and performed in a duet with their famous coaches: Blake Shelton had two artists in the finale, while Jennifer Hudson’s team was shut out. Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus each had one artist competing.

Team Adam’s Addison Agen sang “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw. Agen pulled a sometimes-awkward performance together for the big finale, finishing out her performance with a tearful emotional release.

Team Blake’s Chloe Kohanski followed with her original song “Wish I Didn’t Love You.” The tune was lyrically darker than finale original singles tend to be, but it offered Kohanski the chance to put her artistry on full display.

Country lovers Red Marlow and Shelton then took the stage with their guitars for a duet of “I’m Gonna Miss Her” by Brad Paisley, a choice that came as no surprise.

Next, Team Miley’s Brooke Simpson debuted her original single "What Is Beautiful," which Cyrus co-wrote with two other female songwriters. The tune showcased the power of Simpson's voice in a personal-best performance. “This girl is The Voice!” Cyrus declared.

Agen and Levine followed with a duet of “Falling Slowly,” and Simpson and Cyrus performed Cyrus’ hit single “Wrecking Ball,” which made for a fun duet.

Team Blake’s classic country singer Marlow returned with his original, straightforward single “I Pray.”

Shelton also participated in a duet with Kohanski. They sang “You Got It” by Roy Orbison, a song choice that suited the coach better than the artist, but still found Kohanski’s lower register sounding strong.

Marlow added a country twist to “Make You Feel My Love” for his last performance of the finale. The arrangement was understated, a choice that worked, given that it showcased Marlow's vocals.

For her last performance, Simpson channeled holiday spirit and sang “O Holy Night” with a killer arrangement by Cyrus. Agen then debuted her single, “Tennessee Rain,” a delicate but layered song that earned praise from Hudson.

For the last performance of the night, Kohanski sang “Bette Davis Eyes.”

On Tuesday night, the winner of season 13 will at last be crowned. Who will you be voting for?
