'No Activity,' CBS All Access' First Original Comedy, Renewed

'No Activity'

The Will Ferrell-produced scripted series launched in November.

CBS All Access is one-for-one with its first original comedy.

The SVOD platform has renewed No Activity, the Will Ferrell-produced scripted series.

Co-created and starring Patrick Brammall, the CBS Television Studios comedy celebrates the mundane and follows two low-level cops, two criminals who are largely kept in the dark, two dispatch workers who haven’t really clicked and two Mexican tunnelers.

No Activity, which co-stars Tim Meadows, launched in November. The series currently has a 70 score among critics and a 72 user rating on Rotten Tomatoes. (CBS All Access, like streaming giants Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, does not release viewership information.)

Produced by CBS Television Studios, Funny or Die, Jungle and Gary Sanchez Productions, No Activity is based on the Australian series of the same name. Trent O'Donnell and Brammall co-developed the show and executive produces alongside Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jason Burrows and Joe Farrell.

No Activity is the first and only comedy on CBS All Access. The platform's slate of originals also includes previously renewed dramas The Good Fight and Star Trek: Discovery and the upcoming $1, The Twilight Zone, Strange Angel and Kevin Williamson's Tell Me a Story.

All eight episodes of No Activity's first season are currently streaming on CBS All Access.
