Hader's character resigned after making comments to his assistant like “nice sweater” and “where’d you get those sunglasses?”

Saturday Night Live jumped back into the #MeToo conversation with a sketch that poked fun at Canada on Saturday. During the sketch, host Bill Hader played Thomas Logan, the fictional “Canadian Harvey Weinstein” who resigned after making comments to his assistant like “nice sweater” and “where’d you get those sunglasses?”

The sketch suggested that seemingly innocuous comments were cause for serious concern in Canada, thereby poking fun at the stereotype that Canadians are nice and frequently say "sorry."

Hader appeared throughout the sketch photoshopped into photos with Canadian celebrities like Ryan Gosling and Drake. His character’s films included Y’Don’t Say and It Happened At Tim Horton’s.

The band members of Canadian indie band Arcade Fire, who were tonight’s musical guest, also appeared in the sketch, all saying "sorry" in exaggerated accents.

“I’m sorry, guys, we have to wrap this up,” Cecily Strong said, as the host of a CBC talk show doing a segment on Hader's character. Everyone immediately started saying "sorry" on top of each other.
